New Application Notifications

When a candidate finishes an application, PastaHR can notify you immediately, so you can review and act on it without delay.
Per-flow email notifications for new applications can be configured by the PastaHR support team. Alternatively, a general address (e.g. recruiting@acme.com) can be set instead.Contact support@pastahr.com to set this up.

Chat Notifications

PastaHR sends email notifications when a new chat message is received from a candidate. Notifications are sent when:
  • The chat is active for your organisation
  • The incoming message is unread and contains content
  • No newer message has arrived since
  • The message is a supported type (e.g. not a reaction)
To avoid duplicate emails, notifications are sent with a short delay after the message arrives.

Who Receives Chat Notifications?

Notifications are automatically sent to the right people:
  • Assigned users: if team members are assigned to the chat, they receive the notification (provided they have the Admin or Recruiter role and haven’t disabled chat notifications).
  • Fallback addresses: if no assigned users are found, the notification goes to the email address set on the job posting (including CC/BCC). If none is set there, the organisation’s or channel’s email address is used.

In-App Visual Indicators

You don’t need an email to know when a candidate needs attention. PastaHR tags conversations where a candidate has asked an unanswered question with a Frage (Question) badge in the chat list. Use the Frage filter to see all conversations awaiting a response.
