Reading every application in full takes time, especially at high volume. The AI summary feature solves this: as soon as an application is complete, it summarises the candidate’s profile concisely and in a structured format. It’s great as context for managers or for interview prep: all the relevant information is available at a glance this way.

What Goes into a Summary

Each AI summary is generated from the same information the AI uses for JobFit screening:

Uploaded documents

CVs, cover letters, certificates, and any other files.

Screening question answers

All of the candidate’s answers to the screening questions in the application flow.

Personal details

Contact information and structured personal data collected as part of the application.

How Summaries Are Structured

Each application flow has a default summary template that determines what the AI highlights. The template can be customised to focus on the information most relevant to your roles. Examples of possible customisations:
  • “Show all relevant retail or customer-service experience from the candidate’s CV.”
  • “Flag any employment gap longer than six months and note where it appears in the timeline.”
  • “Summarise the candidate’s stated availability and preferred working hours.”
If you’d like to customise the summary template for one or more of your application flows, contact the PastaHR support team at support@pastahr.com. Customisations are applied at the flow level, so you can have different summary formats for different roles or departments.

The summary appears in the application detail view, next to the JobFit score and the candidate’s chat transcript.

Your connected ATS

For supported integrations, the summary is pushed automatically as a comment or custom field to your ATS.
