# Connect Facebook Pixel with PastaHR

> Connect your Facebook Pixel to PastaHR to attribute application starts and completions to your Facebook and Instagram ad spend.

Facebook Pixel lets you track what candidates do after clicking your ad, specifically, whether they start and complete an application in PastaHR. This conversion data flows back into Facebook's ad algorithm. Once set up, the following events are tracked automatically: **PageView**, **RedirectPage** (candidate lands on the redirect page), **ConversationStart** (application chat begins), and **ApplicationCompleted** (application submitted).

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find your Pixel ID in Meta Events Manager">
    In [Meta Events Manager](https://business.facebook.com/events_manager), select your pixel under **Data Sources**. The Pixel ID is the number shown at the top of the page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate an access token">
    Select your pixel and go to **Settings**. Scroll to the **Conversions API** section and create a new access token.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the Pixel ID and access token to PastaHR">
    Email [support@pastahr.com](mailto:support@pastahr.com) with your **Pixel ID** and **access token**. PastaHR handles the technical integration. Once done, the pixel fires automatically on all of your PastaHR landing pages and redirect pages.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set up custom conversion events (optional)">
    In Meta Events Manager, create custom conversions based on specific pixel events, for example a completed application flow, and use them as an optimisation goal in your ad campaigns.
  </Step>
</Steps>
